This cabled sweater is worked from the top down in separate pieces and seamed together at the sides. Leaning cables that flow into 1x1 rib along the sides creates an addictive knit. Sleeves are picked up and worked in the round from the top down.

MATERIALS

Yarn:
Any fingering weight wool yarn

Madelinetosh Merino Light
Approximate yardage: 1100, 1250, 1375, 1550, 1750, 1950, 2200 yds

Recommended Needles:
US 5 (3.75 mm) circular needles with long cable
US 5 (3.75 mm) dpn’s (not necessary if using magic loop method for sleeves)
or size needed to obtain gauge

Gauge in Double Moss Stitch after Blocking:
24 sts + 34 rows = 4 inches

Gauge in Raised Diamonds after Blocking:
28 sts = 4 inches

Gauge in Stockinette in the Round after Blocking:
