December 2021 – Lapwing has been given a bit of TLC and it’s been through tech editing and test knitting again. There’s a couple of new additions to the pattern.
- There’s a new sample with yarn details and quantities. The original was in DK and I’ve made a 4ply version using two different yarns (so you can see it as a large shawl).
- Now includes charts.
- Modification ideas such as using two colours, beads, different weight yarns etc.
A biased simple lace shawl that can be worked with any weight and amount of yarn. The main body of the shawl is quite simple, so very easy to memorise and just keep knitting until you run out of yarn.
There is optional details on how to bead the shawl – this is done with the crochet hook method and for the sample size, then approx 70 size 6 beads would be needed. The amount of beads will vary if you change the size of the shawl.
