This pattern was designed for my vizsla (hungarian pointer) but would work great for any pointers, greyhounds, or other large breed dogs (40-60 pounds). There are two versions of the pattern: One for the small neck/head breeds, and a more “regular” version.

The sweater is worked flat, top-down. There is a little bit of seaming because this adds stucture to the garment.

The collar is designed to cover the neck. Length can be adjusted as desired.

I use this coat underneat a Chillydog winter coat on very cold days, as my dogs have no insulating undercoat hair.

I added wide stripes and a large intarsia maple leaf on one of my dog’s coat. The pattern download contains a file for the maple leaf chart.

Note that Zara was not fully grown on the pictures from last winter, but her sweater is now perfect for her full-grown size.

J’ai conçu ce petron pour ma chienne Zara (vizsla ou braque hongrois) mais il convient pour d’autres types de braques, greyhounds, ou autre (poids de 40 à 60 livres). Les instruction pour deux largeurs d’encolures sont incluses. Lors des journées très froides, j’utilise beaucoup ce chandail sous un manteau polaire de marque Chillydog, puisque ma chienne ne possède pas de “duvet” (petits poils fins isolant du froid).

Le cou du chandail est conçu pour bien couvrir et monter assez haut. Cette longueur peut facilement être ajustée.

Le chandail est tricoté à plat en deux morceaux. Un peu d’assemblage est requis afin d’ajouter un peu de structure et de stabilité.

Veuillez notez que Zara n’avait pas atteint sa taille adulte sur la première photo. Le chandail lui va maintenant parfaitement.
