Laurel
Dumplings are my smaller, simpler, but still very lovable little versions of my larger dolls. Perfect for last minute gifts, using up ends, or just something sweet!
Laurel is a dumpling, pictured here in hand dyed natural wool and hand made glass eyes. She wears a removable dress that ties in the back. She stands at about 8 inches tall, but with her rounded bottom she definitely prefers to sit.
This pattern has 10 pages with all the info an experienced crocheter would need to make this little treasure; including technique descriptions, diagrams, and photos. I would rate this as “beginner”, and requires only minimal sewing, and embroidery skills.
Suggested materials: wool and wool blend yarn (worsted weight, ~150 yds 1 color, ~25 yds 1 color), polyester filling, 12 mm glass or plastic safety eyes, cotton fabric, and felt.
