A crescent shaped shawl with no short rows and no counting.

It starts with a garter stitch foundation section in which all rows are the same, which makes for very quick and rhythmic knitting.

The leaf section can be knitted from a chart or written instructions. The pattern shifts logically and is easy to learn.

You can make the shawl in one or two colours.

The pattern was written for fingering yarn, but it’s very easy to adapt it to other yarn weights and tips are provided.

You can also add beads.

The contrasting textures help to showcase subtle yarn shading making it perfect for handpainted and semi-solid yarns.
