Leggings are knit of worsted weight yarn from the bottom up, and are iced with a wee band of knit lace at the top. Lots of buttonholes? Yes. But directions for a very tidy buttonhole are included and plenty of hints provide hand-holding along the way. Techniques include stockinette, 1 x 1 rib, buttonholes and the simplest of lace.

I used Berroco Vintage. Two skeins are required for sizes small and medium, 3 for large. Size small fits calves 10-11” in diameter at their widest point; size medium fits calves 12-13”; size large fits calves 14-15”. Size medium is pictured.
