Let's Come Together
Four peens on the hand are better than two in the bush? You decide. Presented for your knitting pleasure entirely free of adornment, artifice, instruction or indeed, little blue pills. Remember: With glove (or in this case mitten), much love.
Materials needed:
- A sense of humor
- Basic chart reading skills
- Basic colorwork knitting skills
- Skill at knitting in the round with two circs, magic loop or good old DPNs
- You can knit a rainbow, in which case you’ll need the basic six colors and a contrast, or you can do it in as little as two yarns. I’d say you can do it solo, which is a totally valid lifestyle choice, but it would make this one a bit hard. To knit.
This design is a unique colorwork mitten created for the “I had a little design input” category of the Ravengers Games in the Lazy, Stupid and Vengeful group. The design has not been test knit, but the designer is working on crafting a pair for additional Ravengers categories.
This design would not have been possible without the gracious permission of Kayla Dyches/TheYarnBearer and the inspiration found in her Pearl Clutcher and Peen Chart designs.
Massive thanks to redshirtknitting, dorkyknitter, and FluffyK for most excellent constructive feedback and suggestions during the crafting of this pattern.
Additional heartfelt thanks to redshirtknitting for technical assistance in converting the chart to .pdf format.
Go forth and make some love!
ERRATA: The lovely user “kurtis” discovered that the red cuff band has some white bits that aren’t quite symmetrical. If that’s going to cause you major eye twitching, please be aware and adjust accordingly.
NEW: 09 April - Uploaded a corrected version of the chart, as well as a black and white (OK, various shades of grey but there aren’t fifty of them) version.
