Lil bean Preemie hat
This pattern is for a basic preemie beanie knit in stockinette on circulars. Great pattern for beginners with minimal decreasing. Uses approx. 1/4 of the skein of yarn. You can make multiple hats from one skein.

CO = Cast on
PM = Place marker
meas = measures
dec = Decrease
K2tog = Knit 2 together
sts = stitches
dpn(s) = double pointed needle(s)
Using long tail method, CO 44 sts onto size 8 16” circular needle. PM. Knit in round until hat meas 4”. Start to dec by K2tog for 1 round. You will now have 22 sts. Switch to size 8 dpns. Dec by K2tog for 1 more round. You will now have 11 stitches. Cut yarn enough for at least a 4” tail. Weave tail through all 11 sts while removing each dpn. Pull tight to close gap in the top of the hat. Take yarn needle with threaded tail end down into center hold and weave in yarn end into the underside of the hat being sure to pull the yarn tight enough to close gap.
