Lillie’s Little Sweater, is a lovely sweater. This pattern is written in Doll-size to 36 months. Knit from worsted weight yarn, it begins with a catlike hood and proceeds downward. The yoke features raglan shaping. Techniques include a simple buttonhole, short rows, picking up stitches, and use of double-point needles. The sweater has minimal finishing and would be an especially good pattern for an advanced beginner knitter or as a class for a knitting workshop. Featured models on the centerfold are Lillie and Rialey!
Materials:
- 400 (430, 460, 480, 520) yds worsted weight yarn
- 24” - #7 circular needle, 4 - #7 dpn
- Ten markers
- Three or more ½” to ¾” buttons
- Tapestry needle
Gauge: 4.5 sts = 1”
Sizes: 0-3 (6, 12, 23,36) months
Skill level: Advanced beginner
Lillie’s Sweater is very popular as a baby shower gift. It lends itself to variegated and other colorful yarn blends and it is quick sweater to knit, a good sweater to have on hand for that unexpected occasion.
