Lotus Shawl
An easy, dramatic, stash-eating shawl. Garter stitch with short rows molds this shawl to fit the wearer beautifully. Designed to be worked in two halves for perfect match and to eliminate the risk of running short of yarn. Intended to extract the maximum impact from small amounts of fantasy yarns. Suits many yarn weights, minimal finishing. Calls for 175 g Brushed Mohair where 50 g + 100 yards and 150 g of assorted fantasy yarns.
Size - from neck warmer to full evening shawl.
Yarn - ideal for brushed mohair for main, fantasy yarn for contrast.
Techniques - Short rows, yarn overs at beginning of rows. Modified three-needle bind-off.
Advanced beginner
