gauge is not relevant, use fingering or lace weight and small needles for doll size and use worsted weight and larger needles for adult size.

When using this pattern, each pattern of hearts gives enough stitches to repeat the heart pattern again. 16 rows constitute the heart pattern including 2 SS rows after the design is complete )

Rows 17 to 32 give you one entire heart and 2 rows of SS, On Row 33 you start again, repeating the heart pattern rows again and end on Row 48 (when extending the pattern to adult sizes (Row 46 is a regular even row --not knit)

The start Row 33 (actual row 49) again and repeat the heart 3 times across ignoring the parenthesis until I can fix the pattern (5 stitches in between each heart) and at Row 65 83 99 115 etc until you have finished all the repeats you want

Stitch counts go up 4 stitches every RS row
