Yarn note
Jamieson and Smith Shetland Heritage is a light fingering, worsted-spun yarn, very similar to that which was used in traditional Fairisle garments in the 1920s and 30s. It was developed specifically for colourwork in collaboration with the Shetland Museum and Archives. Other yarns will behave differently: if substituting yarn, please swatch carefully!!
