The Magdalena, a collaboration with MacKintosh Yarn, was influenced by women’s Medieval garments, and especially the painting “Mary Magdalene” by Dutch painter Jan van Scorel (1495-1562).

Magdalena is a modularly constructed pullover that begins with its cabled shoulder band and grows a collar, body, and sleeves from there. All parts except the cable bands both at the shoulder and the hem are worked in the round. The body and sleeves are worked from the top down allowing customized lengths.
