The original shawl was made in a very thin (2/48) blend of wool and silk that is no longer available. In a thicker yarn, maybe a 2/24 or 2/25 and a size 0 (2mm) needle, it would be about 60" square. Jagger Spun makes a variety of these yarns: Allow 6-8 oz of these fine yarns.
