MarieMarie Cross-over cardigan
This pattern is available in English and Swedish. You get access to both files, download the version that you want.
One of the great advantages of being a knitter is that you can make yourself exactly what you want! I have been looking for a nice, soft and feminine cross-over top in the shops for ages. If I find one it doesn’t meet my expectations - or fit the bill. I decided to make my own version - and I’m really pleased with the result! MarieMarie is just the kind of cross-over top that I will use again and again for autumn and winter: it goes with about everything both for day and evening, and would even be the perfect go-to-bed or yoga cardi!
MarieMarie is worked flat and bottom up. Lace-patterned edges are integrated in the knitting - no picking up of stitches. Sleeves are worked bottom up and in the round to armpits, and back and forth from there. Finishing is limited to shoulder-seams and set-in sleeves. The knitting would suit an intermediate to advanced knitter, but apart from being able to work a lace-pattern no special skills are needed. The instructions guide you through the cardigan with both chart and row-by-row instructions for the lace, as well as stitch-counter throughout the work.
You can choose from 5 different sizes: 31/35/38/41/44” finished bustmeasurements, length 19/19.7/20/21.2/21.2”. If you fall between sizes you could modify by changing the gauge.
Wool needed is 1000/1200/1200/1400/1600 yards. Treat yourself to some lovely and gorgeously soft wool, and you will have a wardrobe piece to cherish for years:)
Vänligen notera att den svenska versionen enbart innehåller diagram för ryggens spetsmönster.
