The geometric design of these mittens was inspired by decorative Moroccan tiles. The pattern is charted and knitted in two colors using the stranded knitting technique. Use high contrast yarns for statement mittens or more muted colors for a subtler look. The mittens are knitted from cuff through thumb gusset shaping and up to the fingers. The cuffs have nice details including two-color garter stitch, slipped stitch tweed and a picot edge, all which are explained in the pattern. The mittens are suitable for knitters who have some experience with stranded knitting as well as for adventurous beginners.
