Medieval Pouch charts
From the designer:
This download contains two charts for knitting a medieval-type pouch. The motifs are drawn from period knitting.
The pattern also includes some minimal instructions for knitting the complete pouch, but please be aware that this is not a complete pattern. It does not explain how to make the tassels, how to weave in the drawstrings, etc. But it does tell you enough to make the pouch itself, as it’s very simple.
Needle for this project:
I think I forgot to say on the chart PDF that this is done with a circular needle. US 5 or 6, circular, 16”.
Some other comments
In the “cats” part of the pattern, there are some very long floats. You can try to weave them in, or just let them be loose (this is what I did, eventually). Just make sure they are not too tight and you will be fine. If your tension looks weird, it will probably block out fine -- so use wool for this if you can. You will probably want to line the bag because of the floats, though.
The red tongues on the cats are duplicate stitched.
