This is a more or less basketweave stitch pattern with some modifications for striping and stripe widths.

Finished dimensions:
This scarf measures 7 inches x 4 feet before blocking. After blocking, it’s about 6.75 inches x 4.5 feet.

Gauge
34 stitches = 7 inches. The gauge isn’t so important for a scarf so feel free to adjust by sizing up or down a needle size to adjust.
