Mimi is a shawl with a unique construction, but with a 19th century look, evoking the romance of the opera “La Boheme”.

It is worked in several sections, each with its own features. It ends with a lacy, knitted-on edging for the lower border.

It is shown here in two contrasting colours, a handpainted colour for the main section and a solid colour for the borders. You have the choice to add more colours, as you desire.

The pattern includes two versions of this piece: as a shawlette (as pictured) and as a full-size shawl.
