Mini Mittens
Pattern is no longer available.
Each month of 2012, our knitting group is doing a sock knit-along. As part of the fun (and insanity), we decided to make souvenir mini mittens of our sock yarn leftovers for each other as mementos of our projects. Each of us have different plans for these mittens (garlands, wreaths, advent calendar, gift decorations), but we’re all equally excited about the large selection we’ll have by the end of the year.
And you know how it is - even though we all started with the same original pattern, none of us is able to follow instructions without tweaking them in some way, so our mittens are all slightly different. But different is good, right?
Right or wrong, this is my modification of the pattern. In addition, I made an even smaller version for Mini Mini Mittens for those slightly obsessive types, like me - or for anyone with cold pinkytips.
Materials: Fingering/Sock Yarn, DPNs or circular needles of a suitable size (US 1-3)
Gauge: Insignificant
