Hoot, hoot!

This sweet little owl works up really quickly in only one piece, aside from his beak, feet, and eye circles.

For this pattern, I like to use DK or sport weight yarn and a 3mm to 3.5mm hook to achieve an owl around 2.5 to 3 inches high. But you can use any hook or yarn you want to make your owls in a variety of sizes.

Try using fluffy yarn for a ‘feathery’ owl look! You can also use a yarn that has some wool or other natural fiber content and then brush it out with a wire pet brush to achieve a similarly fluffy effect.
