Misaki
Misaki is a comfortable relaxed fit Kimono. The trim adds in little stripes of a contrasting color, I recommend a yarn with some silk in it for the contrast so it really shines.
The sample is shown in one of my own hand-dyes for the contrast, but I’ve listed a good alternative above that’s more readily available.
The body is knit flat & joined with a 3-needle bind-off at the shoulders. The sleeves are knit in the round.
I love how this sweater feels & looks in Malabrigo, but fair warning, it will pill. I have one on the needles in Stonehedge Shepherd’s Wool that is knitting up beautifully.
This is a great sweater that can be knit by a very new knitter. Then work either dressed up for an evening out, or dressed down for a comfortable everyday wear garment.
