Mitt Envy
I whipped up these cabled fingerless mitts for my mother-in-law using just 2/3 of a skein of Koigu. They came out so cute, it was really, really hard to gift them away. But I did…then promptly went out and bought another skein – in the exact same colorway – to make a pair for myself!
As it turns out, I wasn’t the only one with Mitt Envy! Just three days later, MIL emailed me to say:
“When I wear my fingerless gloves, I encounter many envious women. Everybody wants them, including {SIL}, who ‘would kill’ for a pair.”
Ah, nothing like the threat of felonious activity to make a knitter feel good.
