I designed this pattern because a friend of mine gave me two balls of beautiful yarn for Christmas – but in different colors! I was at a loss as to what to do with 2 x 90 meters of different colors. I did not want to cast on stitches for a project which I might not finish because I would run out of yarn. That is why I decided to play it safe and start my first pair of mittens.

As you might have gathered from the name of the design, I did it late at night. I wanted to keep it relatively simple, but could not resist a few twists as well as knits through the back loop. I just learned these stitches/techniques a few weeks ago wanted to practice them. So practice!
