I had one skein of Lorna’s Laces and thought it would be a nice soft scarflette that can go around one’s neck and tuck neatly under their jacket in the cold weather without being too bulky or cumbersome.

Gauge is not crucial but your yardage will vary. If you have 2 skeins, by all means continue knitting if you wanted a longer full-sized scarf :)
