Moon Sliver is an easy and fast-to-knit crescent shaped shawl. It is knit from the top down in stockinette with patterned ridges that ends with a pointy lace border. The yarn used for the sample shawl was a Berroco sampler pack of six small balls (about 50 yards each, mostly DK, one worsted and one fingering weight yarn) for a total of about 300 yards and size 7 (4.5 mm) knitting needles. Finished size was 38” neck x 12.5” deep at center back. Blocked size was 48” neckline x 15” deep at center back. Knit it with any weight of yarn by changing the needle size to work with the yarn you choose and make it any size. Use one color, many colors like the sample, or a yarn with a long color run.
