Moorland Fell Cowl
This is an easy knitted piece made in chunky or aran weight yarn, that sits wrapped twice around your neck for a warm and comforting hug.
I like to create designs that can be knitted from an early stage in your knitting journey, but that don’t necessarily look like it!
Its been inspired by my love of Outlander and the Scottish Highlands, and was a design I made on my 50th Birthday to give myself a hug!
I see this being worn by Claire whilst she is riding across the fells or collecting her herbs in the woods.
The example in the photos is made in Cascade Eco plus which is 100% Peruvian wool and is so soft and warm.
It can equally be made in any chunky or aran yarn on 8mm needles.
You will need approx 230yards, I used cascade Eco plus that comes in 250g size and used about half of it….
The yardage quoted is the length of 1 eco plus skein as its sold but you will need less than that for this piece.
