This pattern is a modified moss stitch that pleasantly turned into what looks like a basket weave.

This pattern can be adjusted up or down according to your liking.
The pattern itself can be used for anything such as a scarf, or afghan
with multiples of 4 plus 2 and row repeats of 6.

If making a dish cloth I would use any cotton you favor.
