This shawl is worked top down from neck to bottom . Directions are given for a half circle version, composed by 4 wedges and a more-than-half-circle version, composed by 6 wedges. The first picture on this page shows the 6-wedges version. The “Samples_Floralia.pdf” contains the pictures and the specifics of all the test samples.

Mswolpe’s sample in the first two pictures show two rows of crochet chains at the bottom of the shawl, but the directions in the pattern are given for one row of crochet chain.

The charts and the written directions indicate a suggested beads placement:
4-wedges = # 742 size 8/0 for laceweight yarn, 6/0 for fingering weight.
6-wedges = # 1106 size 8/0 for laceweight yarn, 6/0 for fingering weight.

The pattern is in both chart and text format.

On download page you’ll find three pdf :
“Floralia1_1. pdf” with directions and charts to knit the Floralia shawl.
“More_beads_Floralia.pdf” contains only the charts with additional beads placements.
“Samples_Floralia.pdf” contains pictures and specifics of all the test samples of Floralia shawl. My biggest THANKS to the wonderful test knitters !

NOTE: the “sample_Floralia.pdf does NOT contain directions, only pictures of the test samples, yarn amount, measurements and notes. There is NO need to print it to knit this pattern.

NOTE: the charts in the “More_beads_Floralia.pdf” haven’t been test knitted during the test phase of this design.
