NeckWarmer/EarFlap Hat
In the Making ~ Neck Warmer Earflap Hat
Visit Pattern Website above for the story behind this design.
This pattern has been Test Knitted and Tech Edited.
My children were the inspiration for this neck-warmer ear-flap hat. I disliked dealing with scarves and the kids just couldn’t manage them well. I also didn’t want ties at the neck that would get caught in the zipper of their coat. The button keeps this all-in-one hat in place and their neck and cheeks stay warm.
The hat is knit in the round from the bottom up and then stitches are picked up for the neck-warmer, ear- flap portion which is created by knitting short rows flat. There is the option to omit the button flap as well if you only desire the neck warmer.
