A dear friend invited me to New York City, and as I was so excited to visit this great place, I got inspired to knit a hat. Now that I got a chance of taking pictures in the city itself, I want to share the pattern with you!

The New York Skyline Hat is a fully lined hat that will keep your head warm and toasty even in very cold weather. A soft lace yarn for the fitted lining is friendly to bald skin and may slightly felt with wear for even better wind protection. A slouchy outside in a subtle skyline pattern makes for a stylish hat and shows off the wonderful silk blend yarn.

The pattern comes in two variations: stockinette (shown in green/color 2325 Arctic) and reverse stockinette (shown in grey/color 2246 Mediterranean)

You’ll need approximately 15g of a lace yarn of your choice, knit up to a gauge of 26 sts and 42 rounds (=4x4 inch) on #6/4mm needles.

Row gauge is not as important and can be easily adjusted for.

New York Skyline Hat ist eine gefütterte Mütze, die euren Kopf auch bei Eiseskälte schön warm halten wird! Ein weiches Lacegarn für das Futter ist sanft zu empfindlicher Kopfhaut, und wenn es durch das Tragen etwas anfilzen sollte, schützt es sogar noch besser vor Wind. Der äußere Teil der Mütze mit dem dezenten Muster der New Yorker Skyline ist etwas lockerer geschnitten und bringt das Seidenmischgarn schön zur Geltung.

Die Mütze gibt es in zwei Varianten: glatt rechts (grün/Farbe2325 Arctic) und glatt links (grau/Farbe 2246 Mediterranean).

Vom Lacegarn benötigt man in etwa 15g, die Maschenprobe beträgt 26 M und 42 Runden auf 10x10cm mit 4mm-Nadeln.

Die Maschenprobe ist in der Höhe nicht allzu wichtig und kann leicht durch Variation der Rundenzahl ausgeglichen werden.
