This pattern is for a 100 stitch by 100 row banner featuring the Night’s Watch from the HBO series ‘Game of Thrones’. If you watch the show or have read the books, you know that the Night’s Watch doesn’t actually have a House sigil, so I had to create one.

There are two ways to complete this banner. You can crochet over your color changes, creating a ‘smooth’ reverse, or you can drop and carry your colors. I like to drop and carry because the front of the work seems cleaner, and I don’t really care what the back looks like because eventually I’ll be making several banners into a blanket with a fleece backing. You could turn this into a pillow piece, part of a garment… lots of ideas.
