This playful hat explores what happens when your stripes get odd… Is that the Right side or the Wrong side? Going forward or backwards?
This is also a great project to use up leftovers! With just a few yards of each color needed, you can come up with really awesome combinations.
Sizes
Small (Medium, Large).
To fit average head circumference: 22 (23, 24) inches; 56 (58, 60) cm, both sizes fully covering ears. The Large is 1” deeper, for a slouchy fit. The sample is shown in size Medium.
Materials
Yarn: Lush Worsted by The Uncommon Thread (80% Merino/10% Cashmere/10% Nylon - 100g/230yd): Approx. 65 (70, 80) yd in Main Color (MC, shown in Breath) and 50 (60, 70) yd in Contrasting color (CC, shown in Charred).
Needles: US4 (3.5mm) and US6 (4mm) - 16” (40cm) circular needles and US6 (4mm) dpn.
Other Notions: Stitch marker, tapestry needle
Gauge
19 stitches and 28 rounds to 4 inches (10 cm) in stockinette stitch on US 6 (4mm) needles.
