Substantial and light at the same time… Simple stitches create a surprising effect. Choose a neutral colour and the garter border for an understated look or go in pastel with the Picot Bind-off for a romantic feeling.

Yarn: Holst Supersoft (287 m/314 yards/50 g), 3 skeins; Isager Alpaca 1 (400 m/440 yards/50 g), 2 skeins, shown in colour Dried Plaster and colour 61 (Powder)

Yardage for sample: app.1460 m/1600 yards (780 m/853 yards of Holst Supersoft, 690 m/755 yards of Isager Alpaca 1, held together throughout) or app. 750 m/820 yards of sport weight yarn held single; for fingering yarn purchasing 3 skeins á 100 g is recommended

You may substitute with any yarn that knits up to gauge. Please keep in mind that differences in gauge affect yardage; so make sure you have enough yarn to finish your project!

Please note that the yardage stated above is the sum of the yardage of both yarns held together!

Needles: 4 mm/US 6, circular needle, cable 80 cm/32” or longer

Notions: 4 stitchmarkers, 1 removable stitchmarker, tapestry needle for weaving in ends, pins for blocking (optional)

Gauge: 14 stitches/26 rows in pattern stitch, after washing and blocking with relaxed fabric

Size: (upper width and depth) 230x80 cm/91”x31”
