Openwork Poncho
This pattern is
available for free.
Make this poncho in different fibers for the different seasons. Great beginner project.
To achieve the open effect and size, you must use a large hook, thread or fingering weight yarn and crochet very loose.
Many are having trouble with this pattern. Do not sew the edges together, this will make an infinity scarf. Instead you will fold in half and sew a few inches on the top. Leaving it open on the side.
