Wind Whisper
In the heart of a valley, where the river meets the forest edge, the winds carry stories from the mountains to the sea.
The Wind Whisper shawl is as light as a gentle breeze over wild grasses. The open lacework is like the dance of sunlight through leaves, creating a shawl that feels both fresh and timeless.
With gradually growing eyelet sections and garter stitch stripes, this generously sized wrap offers hours of meditative knitting time.
YARN
One skein of The Woolen Rabbit Kashmir (80% merino wool, 10% cashmere goat, 10% nylon; 480 m / 525 yds per 114 g).
Or at least 480 m / 525 yds of similar light fingering weight yarn.
Please note that many knitters have needed more yarn to complete the shawl when substituting yarn. To be on the safe side, make sure you have some extra yarn if you’re not using the same yarn as the sample shawl.
NEEDLES
Size 4 mm / US 6 needles or size to achieve pattern gauge
Although you work this shawl flat, I recommend using 80 – 100 cm / 32 – 40 inch circular needles to accommodate the growing number of stitches.
