The gauge for this stitch is 16 sts/4” and 12 rows/2.5”. This makes the finished width as stated in the pattern. You can add or subtract a pattern repeat to make it fit how you like. As it is, there’s enough stretch to make it a very comfortable garment to wear without it looking saggy.
The yarn I used was a Debbie Bliss 50/50 cotton/merino that unfortunately I do not remember the name of. This mix is perfect for an indoor environment.
