This retro-style bag was inspired by child’s play. The process started from making pom-pom embellishments from leftover yarns for kids’ backpacks, flowed into felting wool pom-poms, and continued into this crocheted bag that features felted pom-poms prominently. It is an excellent first felting project, and although it requires the knowledge of some finishing techniques, it only uses single crochet, double crochet, and simple crocheted increases and decreases.
