This elegant and sophisticated double-knitted scarf is not only beautiful to look at, and deliciously warm and soft to wear, it also contains mind-boggling mathematics to appeal to the biggest maths geeks out there, and yet, you don’t need to understand any of it, in order to be able to make it!

The pattern is based on the Peano space-filling curve, one of the earliest types of fractals, discovered by Giuseppe Peano in the late 1800s.

The design features one bold geometric line, that makes its way through the entire piece, never crossing itself, and never ending until it reaches the other end of the scarf. Follow it for yourself and see!

Being double-knitted, the Peano No.1 Scarf is double the thickness of ordinary knitting, and twice as cosy.

Pattern contains full instructions and tutorials for every technique used in the making of the scarf, so that even total beginners to double-knitting will soon be flying through the project with ease!

Made with two different colours of Dk or Sport weight yarn, this scarf is fully reversible, and will keep you warm in the coldest of weathers.
