Decadently Soft & Delicate

I’m a huge fan of Murdoch Mysteries, a TV detective series set in turn-of-the-century Toronto. But I don’t just tune in for the stories…the ladies costumes are nothing short of amazing! Always so delicate, feminine, and intricate.

These gloves were inspired by a time when women gathered in full attire for afternoon tea, but designed for 2017. I wear mine with jeans and a sweater while I drink coffee and write patterns at my local Starbucks!

Finished Measurements
7.5” (19 cm) long x 7” (18 cm) circumference; fits average female hand.

Yarn
Katia Concept Cashmere 30 (70% Virgin Wool, 30% Cashmere; 103 yards 94 meters / 25 grams): 2 skeins in shade #205.

Needles
One 9” (23 cm) circular needle size US 3 (3.25 mm).
One set of 4 or 5 double-pointed needles size US 3 (3.25 mm).

Note: If you cannot obtain, or dislike using, a small-circumference needle, double-pointed needles may be used throughout.

Gauge
14 stitches & 20 rounds = 2” (5 cm) in Stockinette Stitch.
