When the upper fronts are completed, underarm stitches are cast on to join the fronts with the back, and the body is knit down in one piece with waist and hip shaping. Once the body is completed, stitches for the sleeves are picked up around the armhole and shaped with short rows. This cardigan fits best with 0-3 inches of negative ease through the bust.
