Penelope
Simple, stranded-colorwork scallops dress up this seamless, classic cardigan with 3/4-length sleeves. Penelope is knit from the top down, starting with the upper back. When the upper back is completed, it’s placed on hold, and stitches for the upper fronts are picked up and knit from the cast-on edge. When the upper fronts are completed, underarm stitches are cast on to join the fronts with the back, and the body is knit down in one piece with waist and hip shaping. Once the body is completed, stitches for the sleeves are picked up around the armhole and shaped with short rows. This cardigan fits best with 0-3 inches of negative ease through the bust.
