Playing in the Leaves
Here’s a trio of lace leaf designs to delight anyone and everyone. I chose autumn colors in memory of the piles of leaves I loved to jump into.
Maybe you and I don’t jump into piles of leaves now, but undoubtedly you’ll enjoy making a whole pile of these knitted leaves to play in!
This pattern has been a long time a’comin, but here finally is the second installment of designs for shaped leaves in lace that I began several years ago that premiered the stunning Oak Leaf Medallion.
Included in this latest pattern are an Aspen Leaf in trellis lace with serrated edging, a 5-point increase Maple Leaf, and an Oak Leaf with an interesting lace edging construction built around the I-cord stem.
There is no sewing; finishing merely involves weaving in the tails from the start and completion of knitting, then a simple blocking.
