Potomac is the name of the river which divides Maryland and Virginia. On a sunny winter morning it can be almost the exact color of the yarn in this sweater. The color variations in kettle-dyed yarn match the subtle variations in the color of the river, and the tiny cables on a field of stockinette mirror the little eddies and ripples that pop up in this fast moving but surprisingly glassy river.

This bottom up, worsted weight sweater is just the perfect combination of warmth and fitted for an active winter’s day on the river – or anywhere else.

Pattern prerequisites - knit, purl, m1, ssk, k2tog, cable, knit in the round, follow a chart, basic sweater techniques like “reverse shaping” and “at the same time”
