This is a fun little hat to make.

I had one idea in mind when I made it, and as it came off of the hooks, it took on a life of it’s own. I think the only thing left in the pattern from the beginning idea are the color and the first three or four Rnds.

I would suggest only those who know how to increase and decrease make it.

When making a size larger than a toddler, you will need to add some extra Rnds and the beginning Rnds will need to be increased.

The opposite is true, you will need to be able to decrease your stitches to make the hat smaller than the pattern given.

However, the main design of the crown should remain the same … the increase or decrease should occur after that point.
