This pattern is worked flat and then seamed up the sides. You can use an icord or simple garter stitch strap. Simple gauge of 4 stitches to the inch.

You can definitely mix up the colors of your Pretty Kitty Purse - black, orange, brown. Part of the fun is in picking the right color. A simple lining finishes the purse nicely. Lining instructions are not included in the pattern but a few internet searches will yield very simple instructions.
