Puffed Rice
Puffed Rice?! The seed stitch is called ‘rice stitch’ in French and the shrug has some puffed sleeves. Thus the name puffed rice!
Knitted with worsted yarn, this top down ruffled bolero is super cute yet super simple to knit!
Stitches are picked up around the collar to knit in the round the border.
Finally, the puffed sleeves add a little fun to this knit.
It comes in 10 sizes :
Cross-back measurement :
7.5 (8.5, 9.5, 10.5, 11.25// 12.25, 13.25, 14.25, 15.25, 16) inches
19 (21.5, 24, 26.5, 28.5// 31, 33.5, 36, 38.75, 40.5) cm
Yardage:
125 (140, 160, 175, 190// 240, 270, 280, 300, 330) yards
Size should be chosen according to your child’s cross-back measurement (measuring the back at underarm’s height, armpit to armpit) for a perfect fit.
For a close fit, pick the size that is closer to actual measurement, but not smaller. About 0.5-1” of ease is good.
