I was asked if I had a quick and easy infant hat crochet Pattern that could be used for the “Purple Baby Hat Project”. This is a campaign for the awareness of Shaken Baby Syndrome and Child abuse.

Materials:
Crochet hook –I/ 5.50MM
Yarn – Any soft Worsted Weight (4)
I used Red heart Soft (5 to 10 oz. depending on size)
Yarn Needle

Stitches:
Chain (ch)
Slip Stitch (slst)
Half Double Crochet (hdc)
Back Loop Only (BLO)

Sizes: Circumference Length_
Newborn 12 inches 5 inches
3 Months 13 inches 5.5 inches
6 Months 14 inches 6 inches
12 Months 15 inches 6.5 inches
24 months 16 inches 7 inches
