Ridges Bandana Cowl
The cowl is designed to be snug at the top to keep draughts out and is wide at the bottom so it can be tucked in to jackets or to provide protections for an open neckline. The drape of the cowl comes from knitting on needles larger than the recommended size.
This would be a great project for those wanting to branch out from basic garter and Stockinette (stocking) knitting. There is knitting in the round and increases and decreases to spice things up. Worked from the bottom up the cowl starts out worked in the flat and then is joined to work in the round.
This is a fantastic project for an advanced beginner who wants a challenge or an experienced knitter who wants a simple project.
