there are many kinds of seaweed that wash up on the fundy shores, and rockweed is one of the most amazing - slimy, thick bobbles on the ends of twisty fronds. the mirroring cables on the backs of these mitts (or handshoes, as i refer to them) imitate those exact qualities. julie asselin’s nurtured yarn in the compass colourway is the perfect pairing if you want a truly accurate portrayal.
